Sample Itinerary
Day 1. Bangkok. Meet our wonderful guide Ms. Kie, and head to a local morning food market to purchase some live fish. Then, hop into a tuk-tuk and make your way to the local temple situated on the shores of the Chao Phraya River. This marks the beginning of your journe,y where you follow the ancient Thai tradition of releasing the fish into the river, a good deed which is meant to secure a safe trip and a long life.
Following this lovely ritual, make your way to the local temple, away from the hustle and bustle of the many tourist sites, where you can sit quietly for a few minutes as you observe the people from the neighborhood come to say their prayers in front of a beautiful golden Buddha statue. As the fragrant smoke from the incense unfurls, it carries with it a wonderful stillness that settles into the prayer hall.
A private long-tail boat will be waiting for you once you leave the temple to take you on an adventure through Bangkok’s maze of canals. Unlike other tourist boats, you will head off the beaten path into some of the smaller canals and will disembark at various stops to truly experience life along the river. Meet an 80-year-old gardener who sells his fruits and vegetables in the weekend markets and the resident dog Café Latte in one of the tiny coffee shops that are hidden behind the canals.
Days 2 - 3. Bangkok. A full day of sightseeing awaits in a city that hums with energy, where gleaming golden temples rise beside soaring modern towers, and the scent of sizzling street food fills the air. Highlights include the dazzling Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kawe, home to the Emerald Buddha, as well as Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, whose spires glitter across the Chao Praya River. Wander the bustling markets, from fragrant flower stalls to Chatuchak’s endless maze of treasures.
Day 4. Nan. Take a morning flight to Nan, located in Northern Thailand near the border with Laos. Tucked away in the northern mountains, Nan is a hidden gem where time seems to slow, and tradition breathes through every village lane.
Once a remote kingdom, the town still holds an air of quiet mystery – its centuries-old temples adorned with delicate murals, its teakwood houses shaded by tamarind trees. The surrounding valleys stretch into endless green, where rice paddies shimmer in the sun and mist drapes the forested hills at dawn.

Days 5 – 6. Nan. Over the next two days, immerse yourself into the Tai Lue and Lanna traditions as you discover the small nearby town of Bo Kluea renowned for its ancient traditional salt production from underground wells. For over 800 years, families have extracted brine from wells and boiled it in large metal dishes over fires to produce salt.
Visit with Nan’s Tai Lue’s silk weaving and woodcarving villagers and stop by some of the most renowned temples such as Wat Phumin built in 1596 and see the “Whispering of Love” mural, the national icon of Nan and one of the most photographed murals in Thailand.

Day 7. Chiang Mai. Today’s overland drive from Nan to Chiang Mai is a journey through some of northern Thailand’s most beautiful landscapes, unfolding like a moving postcard of mountains, valleys, and timeless villages. The road winds through forested hills and dramatic limestone ridges, with sweeping curves that reveal mist-draped panoramas and terraced fields tucked into the slopes. Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, the cultural soul of northern Thailand, check into your hotel.
Days 8 – 9. Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai is a city where ancient charm and modern vibrancy blends seamlessly. Enclosed by crumbling old city walls and a moat, it is home to more than 300 temples, from the serene Wat Phra Singh to the mountaintop Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, where sweeping views of the valley unfold below. Days her can be spent sampling fragrant northern cuisine, exploring lush countryside dotted with waterfalls or wandering the lively night bazaars.
Day 10. Bangkok. Return to Bangkok and connect on to one of Thailand’s most pristine beach locations if time permits.
